about

On June 5th 2016, a summer Sunday, Erez Levin, Dan Sagher, Sam Collins, Oren Levin, Peter Littlejohn, Ben Factor and Charlie Burg crowded into the attic of 335 E Ann Street in Ann Arbor, MI. Fueled by Jimmy John's and kombucha, the boys arranged and recorded eight original songs in a roughly 11-hour recording session. All songs were written by Charlie and Erez between Winter 2015 and Spring 2016. When the day was over, the team chose the recordings they deemed worthy of showing the world.

---

Here we present to you one day’s worth of raw recordings, heartfelt music, hard work, shenanigans, and most importantly, togetherness. It is a portrait who we are and the relationships we have with each other. When you listen to these recordings, all you’re going to hear is the sound of great friends creating something real and true together.

Track Name: Instead Of My Room
You said you’d come yesterday, but you didn’t
Told me you needed to stay on your own
Spending that time by yourself, all alone
You’ll get bored, in your house
Instead of my room

Play me a song and I’ll see, if I like it
Your music makes me feel weird, don’t know why
Can’t we just put on Ramones, and we’ll drive
And I’ll kiss you in my car
Instead of my room

We are simpatico
Don’t wanna let you go
I wanna get to know
(I wanna go out and see the new Star Wars with you)
Play me another song
I want to sing along
Give my a melody
(I heard the Hunger Games wasn’t as good as the book)

Let’s buy a camera and take silly pictures
Of people doing silly things just like us
Get them developed with me at the drugstore
And we’ll save them to see for when we don’t talk

We are simpatico
Don’t wanna let you go
I wanna get to know
(I’ve had a crush on Emma Watson since the first grade)

Play me another song
I want to sing along
Give my a melody
(I got extended edition of Lords of the Rings)

(Is Harry Potter a wizard or is he a dude?)
Track Name: I Don't Wanna Be Okay Without You
Saying things I don’t believe
And your love casts its shadow on the things I do
And I can hear so clearly all the words i wish I’d said
You’re stuck in my head

But I only think of you
Will we be together soon?
I’m thrown to the wayside
You’re planted in my mind

But I don’t wanna be okay with you

Now I can’t find the words to say
That’ll be the perfect balance between loud and clear
And I can hear so well your lovely voice inside my head
Sayin’ ya love me

But I only think of you
Will we be together soon?
I’m thrown to the wayside
You’re planted in my mind
But I don’t wanna be okay with you
Track Name: Letter From Last Summer
God damn, these shoes are killing my feet
I can’t walk no further
Let’s sit here and wait for your parents to call you
And meanwhile, I’ll hold your hands

I can’t remember the name of the place
Where I bought this backpack
But I know it was somewhere with you in a city
Where memories live of our love

Don’t be a nuisance
Just kiss me for longer
Cos we have been crying as much as we’ve laughed
Read aloud the letter from last summer
So I can recall why I wrote it to you

Your name doesn’t show up on my phone anymore
Cos it’s what you decided
So I’ll try to kick these old habits
Pretending your voice doesn’t linger round me

Don’t be a nuisance
And kiss me for longer
Cos we have been crying as much as we’ve laughed
Read aloud the letter from last summer
I think I recall why I wrote it to you
Yes, now I recall why I wrote it to you
